This is a very funny book.
This is a very funny book. It is a quick read, very funny, and I think it actually provides a good overview of investment banking and the role of an analyst if you can see through the elitist satire. I thought the dancing and recruiting sections were great.

Funny but not so infomational
I read this book in two days, it's a very easy ready. 95% of the book is hilarious. However, the book discusses the life of investment bankers rather than what bankers actually do.
I thought Monkey Business was much better.
Monkey Business was
Monkey Business was completely different...
Anyway, this book was incredible, I read it in an afternoon.
Booya!
Looking forward to reading it. The interview with BBall is pretty funny, too:

Quick read, I found it
Quick read, I found it really funny (although it does get a little wearing in some parts..there's only so much elitism I can take in one sitting). I fully plan on implementing the "raising capital" dance move next time I am at a club...

It's a humor book, not a "Investment Banking for Dummies" (or for College Sophomores who only want to apply to Goldman Sachs) Book .
How investment bankers act/live is humorous and can easily be satirized, turning at pitch for the 100th time at 3am isn't funny

I recommend reading the "Preppy Handbook." I think it's the gold standard in elitist reading.

the patriot
Just read the interview, pretty hilarious. But how the hell do you manage to spend $1000 at the patriot?
Easy

250 burgers + 250 PBRs. I've only managed to foot a $100 there in my dozen or so visits.
Oh come on we all already
Oh come on we all already know that traders rule the roost in terms of partying it up.
"Oh - the ladies ever tell you that you look like a fucking optical illusion?"
It was a really funny book.
It was a really funny book. I laughed for a long time after reading some parts, especially the guy's description of a clearing house.

I understand it's a humor book. So was Monkey Business and it did a hell of a job explaining what Bankers actually do. I would have enjoyed the book more if it discussed what bankers really do, you can make that funny too.
Also, I am glad you remember me --- you really touch my heart
how bout give out a free
how bout give out a free copy to the guy who has that screen name here?

1. The writer wasn't a banker, so who couldn't comment on what the work was really like
2. When you graduate from college, you might understand the difference between a funny story and a satire
3. I'm just remembering you, for when your resume / cover letter crosses my desk in a year

Fuck, I go to the school:
Fuck, I go to the school: "Bright Lights, No Future" It made me sad. Anyways, it's a hilarious book. I'm sure most college students dreaming about the banking lifestyle will enjoy it.
And before I get flamed, yes, I know that's not how it is in reality.
What?

yes, your post was deleted. no, we are not kidding you. didn't it basically consist of you telling someone to give you head? i'm sorry we had to depart with such valuable, entertaining and useful information. tip: maybe next time your immature attempts to bash someone on an public message board won't get deleted if it actually says something worthwhile.
