That's very common in the UK. For example, I watched a BBC documentary about the "great Asian migration" (something like that) which explained the main reasons why there are many Indians living in the UK, esp. England. I agree, however, that the term is not used the same way in the US, but one can justify it as India is part of the Asian continent.

Indians are not Asian; they are Indo-Aryan (well the higher caste of them are, the darker Indians look aborigine to me). They are related to Persians and speak the same language (Farsi is closely related to Hindi).

i was at new brunswick campus for a year, but then transferred to newark since it was closer to my house.

20 minute commute at 90 mph knowing there is no place for cops to hide > 40 minute commute at 80 mph knowing state troopers hide at almost every exit
