Well women are about 50% of the college graduates, so it follows that every college major must be 50% men/50% women and every profession that requires a college degree must be gender balanced at the outset.........riiiiiiight? Otherwise, it 'proves' sexism......riiiiiiight? I think that is the logic that is probably being followed.
 

50/50 (sex break down), lol, I think that is a little hyperbole. As you go up the corporate ladder, diversity diminishes? Once again, no revelations, here.

It is just some bogus liberal term to try and highlight the fact that Europeans came to this continent and took over. It is in vogue to make conquering something to be ashamed about. Hence the rise of the metro sexual, beta man.

Eh. She has a point there. That was some rough shit with all the genocide and the infected blankets and the trail of tears. But, Italian-American, German-American, Swedish-American are all terms Ive heard. Euro-American seems a bit broad.

Yeah and Europe was formed the same way. Humans are nasty little creatures. The more we hyphenate things the less we are unified as a nation. If you've been here at least a generation you are American, plain and simple.

she also misdiagnoses the causes of the financial crisis. it's not a moral or cultural failing on behalf of young wallstreeters, although there certainly a bit of that around.

to understand the causes of the financial crisis one needs to look at actual centres of power. the institutions that support the system and the people at the top of the pyramid in the banks, legislature and the state/semi-state bureaucracy.

The big banks are autocracies. They're not shaped by their recruits, rather they mould them to fit their purposes.

 

I did some studies of my own, and discovered some fascinating results. It turns out that Wall Street discriminates against those that don't wear shirts and pants. The typical profile of a recruit is a very temperature sensitive individual who owns many brands of apparel even though the majority are fully clothed. Now I know that my findings are going to incite all sorts of pejoratives to be thrown at me, but I would argue that as you get higher up in the echelon of Wall Street, the less pubic hair displays you get.
