Hi. I'm preparing for the test and have exactly one month till D-Day. Just wanted to know if there is anyone here who started preparing and aced the test in a month? Would appreciate if you share your experiences.

Yes, One of my friend, an asian girl, only prepared GMAT for like 1 WEEK and scored 770. Got accepted by Stanford GSB as a college senior. Another of my friend spent about 1 months and scored 750. Got accepted by Yale Silver Scholar (with BB BO internship). I also know of a person who did not even prepare, and he simply went to take GMAT as to "experience what gmat is like", and got 740. HBS 2+2 now.
Crazy people are everywhere.
take the real GMAT questions
take the real GMAT questions book and take 1-2 simulated exams every day. repetition is the key

If you did well on the SAT, just focus on the hard stuff - get one of the advanced prep books, learn how the questions are asked...I took 3 weeks and got a 770.

Ditto what others have said. I spent about 2 weeks studying (crammed really hard last 2 days). My first practice exam before prep was in the mid 600s. Final score was in the high 700s.
Save the test the GMAT provides as practice for closer to your actual test.
