I know they always say babes notice the shoes first, but it's been my experience that, despite all the posing and preening they do as fashion experts, the average woman can't tell Lanvin loafers from a pair of Skechers, especially in the lambent lighting of a decent bar. So what's the best way to establish yourself quickly with women? I don't think most of them can tell a good suit from something some schlomo bought off the rack at Nordstrom's, so that's out of the question. So what do you do? Do you ice the wrist?
