In my stereo system to wake up to loud blasting tunes in the AM

Frank Sinatra - "Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy."

I am a bit biased given that I created the PillowPocket... but there are some sweet apps that work really well when your phone is in your pillow case:

Sleep Cycle - it will help wake you up when you are in your lightest sleep phase
Sigmund - made by some guys at Harvard and MIT, it helps influence your dreams
Deep Sleep by Prajnu - if you want to try meditation to improve sleep quality
Sleep Diary by Proactive Life - if you want to track your sleep quality

i need some good "wake up" music, what you listening to?

E-Dubble. Some songs are perfect for the AM, some not so much.

Voted other because I have two phones. Work phone on the nightstand + personal phone (main alarm clock) on the other side of the room. Both set on full volume.

Also, best wakeup song is "Non, je ne regrette rien" by Edith Piaf because it makes you feel like you're in fucking Inception.

    my wake-up routine:

YouTube is blocked on my computer, so I can't see the video.

I'm guessing it's the intro to American Psycho, will check when I'm on my home comp...

My girlfriend is a resident in derm so she wakes up at insane hours like 5:30am...in order so we can actually be on somewhat similar sleep cycles, she usuall wakes me up by 7am before she leaves for work.

Keep in mind, I used to be a go to bed at 3:30am, start work at 11am types...

The problem with some of the sleep apps (like Sleep Cycle) is that they depend on the phone accelerometer working accurately. The PillowPocket keeps your phone in one place right by your side so the Sleep Cycle app will get consistent readings and actually deliver on the promise it makes to users...

    How were sales last quarter?

We got our first product shipment a few weeks ago and have already shipped out 100+. A bunch of entrepreneurs at the top accelerators had first dibs (500 Startups, Tech Stars, Tech Wildcatters, Excelerate Labs) and we are just kicking off our "banker release".

I left ibanking 2.5 months ago and started working on, what was then, an office joke. In addition to the banker / lawyer / entrepreneur crowd, we also have our "frat boy" use case for condoms (we are rolling out with some funny marketing pieces in the next few weeks). Last, and most lucrative, is the aroma therapy sleep solution (essentially an aromatic tea bag of lavender (among other scents) to help induce sleep). We are rolling out an infomercial for that in the next few months.

I am chatting with someone from WSO about my banker-turned-pillow-peddler story and they will be publishing it on the site in a few weeks...

    You should get a PillowPocket!

Awesome story man; props to you for leaving to start a company. Seriously considering buying one, as I sometimes sleep with my iPhone under my pillow.

Have you considered putting a zipper on the pocket for people who tend to unconciously toss their pillow while they sleep, or so their condoms can go through the wash? (or so Consuela the cleaning lady doesn't nab them)

There are two pieces of velcro that keep the phone (or condoms) in place. I should probably add a product image that shows that, thanks for raising that question.

We tried to make the pocket as inconspicuous as possible... but Consuela sounds pretty sneaky...

Ah cool, yeah I just didn't see the velcro in the pictures. Although, they're pretty distracting in the first place.
