“initially not my profile (S&T vs IB) - I wanted to discover the job of a trader first hand because I didn't know much - didn't ask what the goal of the meeting was - went on to review the CV -> not unuseful but wasn't the point of the session + not too many takeaways on that front either - theorized a lot about the future of IB with AI - not something I didn't know/consider - speaks slowly and formulates thoughts/finds words with difficulty - spoke about trading in the last 20 mins - could have been a much shorter session”

Real Students. Real Results.

Hear how our alumni used the program to get amazing outcomes

Coming from Case Western, I wasn't a finance major, but WSO Academy was a game-changer. I went from sending 50 emails a month to 1,200 in two months using their automation tools. The mentors helped me totally nail interviews, even for restructuring, leading to my Morgan Stanley IB offer. Definitely worth it!

I got Spring Weeks at Goldman and PJT, then a middle market PE internship in NYC. Recruiting from Singapore was tough, but WSO mentors, especially Cindy, helped me figure out what I really wanted and how to prep for interviews that used to scare me.

Starting early was key. I began networking freshman year even when it felt awkward. My Aggie network was huge and mock interviews made me sharp. Lazard really cared about my behaviorals and who I was. Have a life outside studying... they want the whole you.

When recruiting started, I didn’t feel as prepared as a lot of people around me, and my first networking call went really badly. I realized I needed a plan and real practice. I joined WSO Academy, used the courses to get my basics down, and then did a ton of mock interviews to fix my pacing, answers, and confidence. That structure made a huge difference by the time interviews came around, I felt prepared and ended up landing Goldman Sachs (TMT).

As an international student and former varsity soccer player, I started with a blank slate—no accounting class, no playbook. WSO’s structure and mentor network turned chaos into a plan. Repetitions on storytelling and case prep built the muscle I needed to push through rejections and ultimately earn my BCG offer.

I came in late, my resume was a mess, and I wasn’t sure I was ready. WSO Academy got me on track fast. They cleaned up my resume, drilled me on technicals, and helped me break into IB with a boutique, then land Wells Fargo. Super helpful mentors who really knew their stuff.

I already had an offer, but I didn't want to be stuck in oil & gas. Plus, breaking into NYC from Rice was tough :) WSO Academy really helped me refine my 'why' for New York and ace my behavioral interviews. Their courses also prepped me for my Excel Olympics win! I landed Jefferies Power full-time in NYC.

Breaking into finance as a liberal arts international student at Kenyon felt impossible. My resume was a mess, and I was totally lost. But WSO Academy swooped in... I ramped up networking like crazy (150+ calls!) and their mentors helped me nail my mocks. That preparation led to 3 superdays and my Morgan Stanley offer.

I was doing the work, but my interviews were still all over the place—my stories were rambly and I didn’t know what ‘good’ sounded like. The Academy mentors helped me tighten my story, sharpen my behaviorals, and drill live mocks so I could walk into interviews with a clear structure and confident delivery. Once I cleaned that up, everything clicked—and I landed my GS offer.

I joined WSO late, with only a couple of coffee chats done and not much finance experience. Getting my resume in shape, doing mocks early, and using the networking tools helped me get up to speed fast. I went from feeling behind to getting around 10 calls a week, and the Renewable Energy course was a game changer for my project finance interviews. By the end of February, I landed my offer.

As a Colby freshman, I had no direction despite wanting finance. WSO Academy gave me a detailed plan and framework. I was doing three to five calls daily and even visited NYC banks in person, which was a huge differentiator. They helped me land a private equity internship and Bank of America IBD.

I came into recruiting super late, well past the usual timelines, and I wasn’t part of any finance clubs. WSO Academy gave me a proven process and the mentorship I needed, from learning what restructuring even was to building an outreach strategy that landed me 50+ coffee chats. That preparation helped me break into Greenhill Restructuring in New York.

I started late, missed out on junior internship recruiting, and had to keep pushing through a lot of setbacks. WSO gave me the structure, feedback, and realistic prep I needed to improve fast. The mock interviews and mentor guidance were huge in helping me land a full-time offer in Energy Investment Banking at Scotiabank.

My first real interview was a wake-up call. I had one day’s notice, was completely scrambling, and walked out thinking I wasn’t ready for this process. Over winter break, I joined WSO and finally had structure, we rebuilt my story from scratch, tightened my answers so they sounded natural, and ran enough mock interviews that the technicals became second nature. Even when I had the flu during one of my Jefferies rounds, I still felt in control. I ended up getting the offer after the Superday and that confidence shift made all the difference.

I came to the U.S. at 15 and fought my way from a non-target school then got crushed in interviews and down to $800 in my account. I doubled down on prep with WSO Academy, and that’s what turned things around and got me into venture debt at Trinity Capital.

I started recruiting without really understanding how competitive the process was or how it actually worked. I went through rejection after rejection and a lot of ghosting, and it was honestly pretty disheartening. What WSO gave me was the technical knowledge I was missing and that gave me real confidence. Once I had that, interviews stopped being intimidating, and that’s when I landed my M&A Summer Analyst role at Rothschild & Co.

I knew I wanted real estate, but Academy helped me tell that story better. I talked to mentors like Teru and Nick, downloaded the modeling templates, and studied the macro stuff. It gave me a real edge in interviews. That’s how I ended up at Blackstone Real Estate full time.

I was super demotivated after club rejections. Fast forward after joining WSO, I sent 412 cold emails, getting 60 coffee chats thanks to them and my polished resume. I faced nine brutal first rounds and four superdays in one week, totally slammed! But Academy prepped me, leading to my BMO offer.

I built and exited companies, but when I decided to pivot into investment banking, I realized how much I didn’t know. I put my head down and grinded 200+ networking calls, late nights, constant reps but I needed to speak the language fluently. WSO helped me tighten my technicals, practice under pressure, and show up with confidence instead of hesitation. That edge made the difference I signed an offer to join JPMorgan’s Business Services group.

At Villanova I felt behind, competing with Ivy League kids and lacking real finance experience. WSO Academy’s mentors and bootcamps sharpened my technicals and taught me to network effectively. I went all in (sometimes skipping class for calls) and that persistence helped me land Evercore.

I was getting to final rounds at top quant shops, but just couldn’t quite land the offer. The Academy really made a difference, especially the quant mentors. Mocks with John and Jeremy were critical... they helped me with everything from brainteasers to my story. I went from rejections to an landing offer in the quant ISG group at Goldman. By the end, interviews were actually fun.

As a psychology major coming from a nontraditional background, I was struggling to position myself for private wealth management. WSO helped me tailor my resume, use referrals more strategically, and prepare for interviews. My first private wealth management application turned into an interview process, and I landed an offer at UBS in San Francisco.

Coming to Canada from India was a real academic culture shock, my grades dipped early on. WSO Academy gave me structure through mentorship and mock interviews, helped me tighten my story, and turn effort into results—first landing Sales & Trading at Scotiabank, and then a credit Investments at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP).

Coming from audit in South Africa, I knew breaking into M&A in London wasn’t going to be easy. Recruiters wouldn’t even take my calls. But I wasn’t ready to just settle and “go into industry”. Thanks to the WSO Academy push, I started landing 15-20 networking calls a week. One of my earliest chats led to a buy-side analyst offer at PCB Partners. Took four months, but it changed my career.

I started super late at Carnegie Mellon, and networking felt like a huge uphill battle. Bank offers weren't converting... I even got ghosted for a month! But WSO Academy changed everything. Their mentors nailed my PE mocks, helping me land my dream software private equity internship. Couldn't have done it without them!

Breaking into investment banking was already hard, but doing it as an international student needing sponsorship and aiming for New York made it even tougher. WSO helped me build confidence through mock interviews, real recruiting advice, and access to real bankers, and that helped me land into New York investment banking at Canaccord Genuity.

I started without a clear understanding of investment banking and had no structured recruiting plan. Through WSO’s personalized guidance and structured preparation, I was able to close a steep learning curve and recruit effectively—ultimately landing a full-time Investment Banking Analyst role in London.

I went to culinary school before Brown - not the typical finance path. I started prepping early, and probably did 50-60 informational interviews. Never begged for referrals, just connected with people over stuff like cooking or school. WSO helped tighten up my resume and mock interviews, and that made a difference. Got offers at places like Morgan Stanley and a bunch of others.

I started as a total blank slate at UC Irvine, but WSO Academy transformed everything. I sent 3,000+ cold emails, did 220+ calls, and 10-12 mocks. That led to 18 first-round interviews and 8 superdays... eventually landing at MUFG!

I had seven years post-MBA in FP&A and consulting but felt stuck. I didn’t know how to pitch myself for banking. WSO Academy gave me structure, mentors who revamped my story and resume, and tough mocks that built my confidence. It helped me finally land an associate IB role at Morgan Stanley (the only candidate that received an offer that wasn't currently in an MBA program)

Was late, nontraditional, and unsure if WSO could help in the Middle East. Turns out they had mentors in UAE, Qatar, even other GCC countries. I got help on everything from financial modeling to behavioral prep. This made it possible to break into banking at one of Doha’s top firms.

Transferring schools, adjusting to Cornell, and juggling clubs, classes, and recruiting felt intense. I had zero Cornell alum connections. WSO Academy gave me structure, mentors, and mock support that helped me crush interviews. I stacked four off-cycle internships and landed UBS

Coming from a non-target background and FP&A, I needed a clear way to compete without prior deal experience. WSO helped me tighten my resume, strengthen my interview story, and build confidence through technical prep and case-study mock interviews. With a structured networking push, I landed a full-time investment banking offer at a boutique firm in Montreal while working full time.

As a non-target student starting late, I felt like I was already behind. WSO Academy gave me the roadmap, accountability, and realistic mock interview practice I needed to break into investment banking and land a Wells Fargo investment banking offer.

I was coming from a less traditional path in commercial construction, trying to pivot into management consulting, but my applications and networking were not producing the results I needed. The mentorship, mock interviews, and live training helped me sharpen my story, communicate my transferable skills more clearly, and prepare for the interviews that ultimately led to my offer at Guidehouse.

I was stuck in back-office risk. Getting into finance late at McMaster felt like a battle, and my networking for top roles was just not cutting it. The mentors helped me nail my story and authentically brand myself for private equity and helped me land at CPPIB!

Came to Princeton as a student athlete recruited for softball. Didn’t think about careers until midway through sophomore year. Joined the Academy in January super late. Had barely ten calls done, within weeks I was doing 20 a week. The prep really helped, and I eventually landed an offer at UBS.

Before WSO I barely knew what IB was. I cold-called FP&A folks just to get reps. Once I joined, I had real feedback from mentors and a clear roadmap. Did a year at a boutique, made ~200 calls, and finally broke into a bulge bracket in New York.

I knew I couldn’t do it alone—my English and deal exposure weren’t there yet. With WSO’s guidance, I built confidence fast and landed at Corebridge on the investments team.

I was really flying blind… left a role that wasn’t for me, went all-in on WSO Academy, and ended up with an Associate offer at Harris Williams. I couldn’t have done it without WSO. Life changing. Worth every penny.

I was a sophomore, an athlete at Tufts, but felt unprepared for banking; I even missed the freshman accelerator! WSO Academy became my backbone. They gave me the roadmap and networking templates. I had sixty coffee chats and eleven first rounds, leading to my Barclays offer.

Didn’t know about high finance at Auburn. After two years in FP&A, I wanted something faster paced. WSO Academy helped me get there. I leaned on the technical courses, resume review, and strategy sessions with mentors. My first interview led to an offer. It was the perfect next step.

As an engineering major, I was doing back-office tech, and didn't know how to break into front office M&A. WSO Academy totally changed my view! Their bootcamps and IB interview prep were awesome for technicals. Plus, their mentors helped me craft an incredible story, making me competitive against finance majors.

Joining WSO Academy right before sophomore year was pivotal, even though I was nervous. Those hundreds of emails and countless mock interviews really sharpened me. It felt risky letting an early offer go, but trusting that intensive prep ultimately led me to a bulge bracket. It was quite a journey.

I came from a languages background in Italy and knew nothing about finance. WSO Academy helped me ramp up fast. I was connecting with twenty people a day on LinkedIn, learning a ton, and the bootcamps really built my foundation. That prep helped me land KPMG Deal Advisory and a top Master’s.

Freshman year sucked. I got rejected from 10+ clubs, had no clue how to prep, and my technicals were rough. WSO Academy helped me improve a lot, so I could hit the ground running. They fixed my resume, crushed the mocks, and landed 3 first rounds. Ended up getting Blair. Wouldn’t have happened without WSO.

After losing my job at a family office, I felt stuck and frustrated. WSO Academy gave me structure, accountability, and confidence. I completely revamped my outreach, spoke with over 60 professionals, and landed a consulting role at A&M. It honestly changed everything for me during a really tough time.

After my master’s, interviews basically stopped in January. I’d never networked and my CV read like a CS lab report. WSO mentors helped me revamp my CV and practice real outreach. Calls picked up again and I landed a quant research role. Simple as that.

My GPA from UofT engineering wasn’t great, and I knew my technicals were weak. WSO Academy changed my approach. Alex helped me clean up my resume, the courses and mocks seriously leveled me up, and I just kept networking. After a long wait… got the offer from Scotia Capital!

I knew I wanted to get back on track toward investment banking. Once I joined WSO, the mentors helped me clean up my resume, sharpen my story, and fix my technical gaps, and within a few months I started getting real interviews and ultimately lateraled into investment banking at BDO.

WSO taught me how to tell my story. Once that clicked, conversations felt natural and interviews stopped feeling like guesswork.

Lost my job offer during COVID and worked three part-time jobs just to keep food on the table. Was applying everywhere and getting nothing. A friend said email WSO. That changed everything - the networking and structure helped me land at Fidelity

I always felt early as a freshmen and unsure if I was doing the right things. The Academy gave me a reality check. I went from a few calls a week to nonstop networking. The mock interviews helped me stay calm in interviews. I ended up landing at Houlihan Lokey IB in New York.

I felt behind at Wake Forest with no finance classes... my resume wasn't hitting, and my stories were all over the place. WSO Academy really improved my answers. Their resume tips made my profile stand out, and mocks got me sharp. Long story short, I landed Raymond James Healthcare.

I pivoted from engineering at UCL super late like three months before graduation. I had zero finance prep, was totally scrambling, and honestly felt lost. WSO Academy gave me structure, intense mock interviews, and drilled the technicals. I even nailed a question no one else could. That probably landed me the offer!

Lost my offer a month after graduation and had no idea how to restart. WSO Academy gave me a plan. The bootcamps, equity research program, and mock interviews built my confidence fast. After speaking with nearly 100 people, I landed a financial analyst role at a Fortune 500. Would’ve been totally stuck without that support.

WSO Academy's mentorship and bootcamps helped me build my first DCF, teaching me on-the-job skills. Now, I'm teaching others... networking is key, but so is sharing knowledge with your peers. I turned down eight offers to take a risky Real Estate Investment Internship in Saudi that I was able to convert into a full time Investment Analyst role.

I didn’t have the ‘obvious’ brand-name path, and when my grad program ended without a seat, I realized I needed a real plan. WSO helped me tighten my positioning, focus my recruiting in Vienna, and sharpen my interview structure through mocks. I ended up landing a Deloitte Banking, Treasury & Capital Markets role in Vienna.

I applied to over 60 roles and couldn’t even reach a final round. WSO Academy showed me exactly how to approach networking and interviews. With mentors, office hours, and mocks, I became a much stronger candidate and landed a UBS placement.

I was a junior biochem major who missed all IB recruiting timelines. I felt disoriented and lacked resources. I joined WSO Academy in early 2024, and they helped me polish my CV... plus build confidence for tough interviews. I stacked internships and finally landed my an investment banking internship.

The Academy taught me how to actually move the networking conversation forward and get results. Practiced with mentors, built confidence... but the craziest thing is that I was able to connect with a mentor that had experience in the exact team that I was interviewing for at BlackRock prior to my final round. Ended up landing the offer after five mocks.

Networking felt super uncomfortable at first. I had no idea how to talk to bankers without feeling fake. WSO’s practice networking sessions helped me handle any type of call and the bootcamps helped build out my technical base. Prepped stories, did tons of calls, and finally felt ready. Without WSO, I would’ve fumbled.

Missed the school’s mentorship program and didn’t start networking till late January. I had zero connections. WSO Academy gave me mentors who actually worked at the banks I interviewed at. Their mock interviews and insights helped me land TD Cowen in NYC healthcare. That access made a huge difference.

I knew I wanted to get into finance, but I had zero clue how the process worked and no real Excel or accounting background. Wall Street Oasis gave me the structure, technical foundation, and network I needed to actually make that transition possible.

Not being in Stern made things tough. I had no idea where to start until I joined WSO Academy around Christmas. The mentors challenged me, helped me get my story straight, and taught me how to network smart. That led me to Alex Partners for economic consulting in New York.

Recruiting for banking was already intense, but I was doing it while taking four classes, working 20 hours a week, and playing NCAA hockey. Coming from a liberal arts school, I didn’t have the same structured technical prep or interview roadmap as students in more traditional business programs. WSO helped me close that gap quickly and stay confident through the process and land RBC in Toronto.

Losing my job after a rotational program at Lloyd's hit my confidence hard. I felt lost and unsure what was next. I joined WSO Academy and they helped me regain confidence by refining my approach. Their mentors were blunt but supportive, helping me land my Capital Markets role at CIBC.

My goal was IB, but I didn't know where to start. Transferring schools mid-sophomore year was hectic with recruiting heating up. This is why WSO Academy was key, especially for nailing my story and getting my resume polished. Their mentors and mocks were super helpful for landing Wells IB and getting my career off to a great start!

Coming from a non-target, I had no finance knowledge and even faced visa issues that sent me back to Spain. WSO Academy gave me structure and mentors helped me clean up my resume and taught me how to network with senior bankers. That guidance and persistence helped me break into a boutique investment bank in London.

At Syracuse I was a sophomore with no plan, just applying randomly with no traction. WSO Academy’s equity research internship gave me real reps and mentors who taught me how to reach out the right way. After focused calls and cleaner materials I landed a full time role in Equity Research.

I was applying online and getting nowhere because I didn’t understand recruiting timelines. WSO Academy gave me a clear weekly checklist, mentor accountability, and a structured way to network with intention. I ramped up early, built real relationships, and turned an alumni connection into a PNC internship.

Thought I was networking with one or two coffee chats... turns out I wasn’t even close. WSO mentors showed me how to step it up, fix my story, and prep like a pro. The calls started coming, the interview hit faster than expected, and now I’m working at LSEG.

Offer got pulled after graduation (total panic mode). Cold outreach wasn’t working and I felt totally lost. WSO Academy gave me the what I needed: bootcamps, ER project, and constant feedback from mocks. That combo helped me rebuild my confidence and finally break in. It honestly changed everything.

As a CS major, I was late to quant finance recruiting and didn't know how to brand myself. WSO Academy gave me a structured approach to networking and self-presentation. Their mentors and mock interviews were crucial, helping me hit that 'inflection point' and land my quant role at Mackenzie Investments.

Came into Fordham knowing nobody in finance. WSO helped me build a system for networking, kept me accountable, and sharpened my interviews with tons of reps. That foundation helped me land Citi sophomore year, then Blackstone REPE junior year.

Before Academy, I felt uncertain about how to stand out. The mock interviews, technical courses, and story prep gave me real confidence, I walked into interviews and networking chats with clarity, and that made all the difference in landing equity research.

I started in management consulting but realized corporate finance was where I wanted to be. With hundreds of applicants for only a few spots, I knew I needed an edge. WSO Academy’s courses and mentors gave me the technical skills and confidence to stand out, helping me land my analyst role at PwC Corporate Finance.

Coming from a non-target, I sent hundreds of emails, did over a hundred coffee chats, and with WSO’s structure and mentorship I turned that grind into multiple Superdays and ultimately landed my restructuring IB offer in New York.

I was graduating without a return offer and struggling in interviews, but after joining WSO, I fixed my story, built consistency in networking, and within weeks I had five to seven coffee chats a week and final-round interviews that led to my offer
