Flow Traders Interview process
Recruitment told me Flow Traders has a 5 step interview process, where the first step is a math test. Does anybody know what this process looks like? In particular the later steps, because for steps 1, 2 and 3 there is a lot of info available. Steps 4 and 5 seem to be lesser known.
Summer applications for PE vs IB
I have some experience in applying for IB internships but don't know anything about the application process in private equity firms. Apart from PE summer internships being more competitive than the IB ones, are there any differences in the application process for these two areas? E.g. does...

Has anybody taken part in the GS Women's Trader Academy ? Am interested to find out what the application process is like and what you actually do during the event. Any insight would be great, thanks. Also what are the stats like- is it easier to get than a summer internship in global markets ?
2021 ADC/APD Summer Programs/Full-Time Applications Thread
Applications are starting up so figured I'd set up a thread similar to last year so people could ask questions or share updates as they prepare for recruiting season. Giving back to the community I heavily lurked last year for sure! Below are links with deadlines for firms with applications updated...
Situational Judgement Test 2020 positions
Hey fellow hungry monkeys, I was wondering how did you pass the situational judgement test in order to proceed with your application. No matter what - if I am the most helpful colleague or the most arrogant prick in the pack, excuse my french - I often find myself being not suited for the position...
Goldman Sachs Referral and Application Process
So on 1/3 I submitted an application for a role at GS . Yesterday, I received an update on the app that I am "currently not being considered" for the role. The interesting thing about it all is that I still have the option to withdraw my application from the process. If I was denied completely--...
Applied to 20 remote jobs and landed 7 interviews
Hey everyone. I recently returned to the states after working remotely and traveling to 12 countries in seven months. Almost everyone I met while traveling asked me how I could work while traveling. I wanted to show them but digging into the technicalities is not exactly a fun conversation with a...
IMD at Goldman Sachs
I currently have an application submitted to the 2018 Full-Time Analyst program at GSAM in Chicago. I've visited the office, met with some people, and feeling excited to see where it goes. Does anyone who's been through the process care to share their experience? How long was the process? Timeline?...
Want to apply to MSc Finance at Stockholm School of Economics
I am in the process of applying to an MSc Finance course with the hopes of ultimately ending up as a financial analyst that specializes in mergers and acquisitions. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the application process. Some background: I am going for MSc Finance rather...
Easiest Offices (in terms of recruitment) at McKinsey, BCG, and Bain??
I recently spoke with a consultant at Bain and he mentioned that Atlanta, Dallas, and Boston were some of the less competitive locations when it comes to recruitment. Atlanta & Dallas because no one wants to live in those areas and Boston due its size. I was wondering if anyone could comment on some...
What is the purpose of equal opportunity questionnaires?
I get the fact that companies have reporting requirements they need to meet but are these truly kept separate from job applications? Should someone fill one out with every job application? Did you? I essentially ignored these voluntary questionnaires since I already have a solid FT but I might move...
Minority Internship Opportunities

Creating multiple accounts on a company's career website?
Do you ever do that? Can recruiters at these companies easily tell that you have another account and see all the other applications you made?
Having Trouble Submitting Formal Applications for Company's Listed Programs
Hey everyone, So I've come across a couple companies where they give details of university programs they offer to those about to graduate, but when I try to search for these programs in their "Get a Job" or "Apply" sections to submit a formal application, nothing comes up. Luckily, for one of these...

Applying to HBS, Stanford GSB, and...
It has been a while since I posted on here - the last 2 weeks have been really busy as I have been traveling and dealing with various situations that have been popping up. I have not had a lot of time to work on my b-school apps, but I have made a couple of breakthroughs: 1. I got started on my...
Application system status changed - am I in?
I didn't phrase the last topic well so... The online application system's status changed from "under consideration" to "You have been offered a position". However that change has been for a few days but I haven't received any calls or email about it. Is it possible they have made a mistake or can I...
McDonald's: Harder Than Harvard
Good news prospective monkeys! Your prayers have been answered. You do not need to worry about your future. Talks of America's demise have been greatly exaggerated and overblown. Apparently, it is now easier to get into Harvard, than it is to get a job at McDonald's. Now for all of you linear...
What to put on an application form?
I found a posting for a transfer pricing consultant position with a big 4 firm overseas. I found it through a third party job site and cannot find it (or any other entry level positions) on the firm's own website. Should this be a red-flag that it's not listed on the firms own website? Since I can't...
Organizing the MBA Applications Process
After accumulating years of experience, I have a developed a number of ideas on how to organize your business school applications calendar. While everyone’s approach will differ slightly, here is an overview I use that has worked well for clients. 1) One MBA application at a time. I recommend that...
Cut-off rate for numerical test?
I was wondering what the cut-off rate for numerical tests is. I just did a couple of practice tests on assessmentday.co.uk, and I had 90% of the questions correct, and 100% out of the attempted questions. Would that be good enough to pass an actual numerical test? And are those tests a good...
Applying online: Experienced Hire or Campus Recruiting?
For online applications most banks will segregate undergrad and experienced hires. I graduated in May of 2010 and have been working in a back office finance role for the past 1+ years at a large MF and brokerage company. I'm looking to switch to banking as a first year analyst. Should I be using the...
