how are hedge fund managers paid? cash, PIK?
So per 2 and 20, are hf managers paid with the equity (or bonds, rates, currencies, w/e) positions they've taken? or do clients typically liquidate some of their positions to the tune of 20% of the annual gains and pay in cash?
