Interview
First interview was screening over the phone, basic finance and industry questions.

Second round I came in and met with the team. 2 interviews, each interview 2 interviewers. First round was more junior associate level and was the airport test. Mostly qualitiative / fit. Second interview was with MD and head of North America and more technical about media / sports and entertainment. Deal specific to from last job.

Third round intrerview was a case study where I had to make a 2 pager outlinking a previous deal they had funded and give my take on it. A classic SWOT and back of the envelople modeling. I presented it to the team over the phone and about a month later recieved an offer.
Interview Questions
There were a number of entertainment specific questions that were difficult. The main takeaway was to see if I had my fingers on the pulse of the media and entertainment landscape and then a few questions about European football as that is a key part of the 23 business.

One specific question was regarding a company purchased by my last firm and the MD asked about how we reached the final value we paid for the business, how we valued it, what comps we used for the multiples, and what synergies the business had with ours, and my specific roll on the deal.
