Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Emailed with headhunter to enter into the process for ABRY, and heard back in 2 weeks that I had recieved a first round interview. Phone interview lasted 1 hour, and started with the standard "walk me through your resume and deal experience" portion. Focused more on deals and what was a differentiating factor versus other industry competitors. Followed by "why PE". Focused more on fit, as they do not fall into the 2-year associate program, but are looking to keep their associated longer term. Finished with a few modeling based questions. Overall, good interview and very nice guys.
Interview Questions
No real difficult questions. More focused on how you fit in long term with the firm, and your plans to stay in Boston.
