Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Applied online, was contacted by an analyst 2-3 months after I applied to set up a phone interview, phone interview was fully behavioral, received a superday 1 month later, was flown to St. Louis, put in a very nice hotel, and had a 6 interview superday culminating in a mock IC on one of the company's real portcos. Interviews ranged from behavioral to more consulting style cases and classic technicals.

Interview
Initial email from 1st year analyst for an introductory behavioral interview. 30 minute Zoom call consisting of mainly behavioral questions with some technicals at the end. Invited to a superday at their office in St. Louis 2 weeks later. Flown out and put in nice hotel before group interview consisting of a case study, consulting questions, technicals, and fit questions. Overall a good experience. Really long wait time between interviews and communication though.
Interview Questions
Difficult consulting questions that required a fairly in-depth quantitative analysis without a calculator on the spot.

I saw a full time posting on LinkedIn. I reached out to an MD and was scheduled for a phone call. Then received an interview.
Interview Questions
There wasn't anything special or difficult. Just make sure you know what industry they operate in and how it is different from the normal Private Equity / Venture Capital firms. Research on the deals they invest in, by looking at their website. Be prepared for mental math questions and market sizing questions. Nothing extremely difficult and I was fortunate enough to have my interviewer guide me along the way. Make sure to know the typical behavioral questions and use the STAR method for good answers.

Reached out to firm via email; set up a brief phone screen which was mostly about fit, followed by a one on one interview at the firm offices.
Interview Questions
How are you planning on managing this internship while taking classes as well? I was planning on working while also taking classes so several of the questions in this interview were structured around my ability to balance the workload while also being a student, as well as my intended time commitment and how I would structure working while also studying. I believe they wanted me to split my time at least half half between working remotely and working at the office itself, which i believe was fine.
