Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn and scheduled an initial phone conversation. The phone screen was positive so they set up a phone interview with the hiring manager later the same week. Be prepared to answer "Why Amazon?" with a good answer. They are looking for more emotional reasons you connect rather than a technical response. Passed the phone screen and they brought me on-site a week and half later for in-person interviews. While most of the team does attempt to be there in person, several interviews were via phone conference. There were a total of 4 rounds, 2 were the hiring manager as well as their manager (a grand hiring manager, if you will). The remaining 2 interviews were with a bar raiser in the same function and then with your closest business partner. The interview was done at the end of the week, and recruiter called me the next business day that I would be getting a formal offer. Formal written offer was then provided the next business day.
