Step one: exchanged multiple emails with a connection from the family church

Step two a: phone interview / talk around
Step two b: more emails and follow up phone conference to confirm meeting details

Step three: (day 1) shadow connection and help run a retail fixed income seminar. Dealing with potential clients. Employer observed how I interacted with clients

Step four: (day 2) sat on the fixed income trading desk for a day. Observed and asked intelligent questions. Started to make relationships with traders. At the end of the day summer internship opportunities were discussed. Extended a non-official offer. Will accept based on the outcomes of my other internship opportunities

Step five: Thank you emails sent two days later. Will keep in touch every couple of weeks to keep offer available
