Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I did not go through the traditional hiring process. I met a VP through a social event, and was referred to the Director of Finance who was in the process of hiring another analyst. I was brought into interview before the job was even posted / approved. I first received a phone call from the director, which lasted about 45 minutes. The call was very relax and we talked about things beyond the position / company - things we had in common, etc. Two days later I was asked to come into the office to meet with two other senior staff, and to go to lunch with direct report. I arrived, and went to lunch with the director, came back and interviewed with the 2 others for 45 minutes each. Very relaxed interviews, no grilling or prying, just good general discussion. Afterwords, I met one of the other analysts in the group.
In all, the on-site interview was about 3.5 hours (including lunch). The interview process took me less than a week from start to finish. However, the processing of the job (on HR's side of things) took quite a while - close to a month.
