They didn't ask any particularly difficult questions. It was mostly focused on learning why you were interested in IBD and what you knew about the firm and if you were ok with the location.

There were a handful of softballs like "What kind of information would you want to know in order to value a company?" and "If I asked you to determine how many street lamps there were in Iowa, how would you calculate the result?"

The Excel test was a surprise as it came unannounced, but it was relatively simple.
