Arrowroot Capital

Overview

Overall Ranking (56%)

The Overall Ranking is a score from 1 star (very bad) to 5 stars (excellent) generated based on the Company Reviews of current and former employees at this company, taking everything into account.

The number you see in the middle of the donut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few reviews). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

The Overall Ranking is generated based on the Company Reviews.

Company Details

Arrowroot Capital was formed by Matthew Safaii who previously led the acquisitions team at ICG Group (NYSE: ICGE). During his tenure at ICG, Matthew identified an opportunity in the market for an established firm to focus on placing smaller sized growth equity checks into growing, mature, and established software companies. Arrowroot aims to provide equity capital in the range of $1M-$15M, but has access to a much larger pool of capital if needed. Arrowroot's capital is typically deployed to achieve very distinct goals including, but not limited to:

Working capital and growth investment
Liquidity for Founders and/or Management
Liquidity for previous Venture or Angel Investors
Acquisition capital
Arrowroot's structure facilitates allocating the optimal investment size in order to efficiently grow businesses and create healthy capital risk dynamics for founders, current management, and past investors.

As a niche firm focused on SaaS, we bring a specific knowledge base and network to the companies in which we invest. We do not concentrate on a certain industry, but are business model focused. Specifically, Arrowroot concentrates on recurring revenue businesses with subscription or transaction based pricing models. Regardless of investment size, Arrowroot chooses to partner with companies that will benefit from the focused and unique expertise and experience the firm offers, with the goal of positioning the company for its ultimate exit.
