Financial Analyst Intern

First part of the hiring process was the information session as part of on campus recruiting. From there the firm made contact via email to set up the first interview. The email was very organized listed available times and available locations to conduct the first interview. It gave detailed instructions of where to go for the interview when arrived at the interview location, dress code, and who from the firm would be conducting the interview.

The first interview was a one on one interview with a V.P. & intern supervisor, this lasted 30 minutes. This was mostly a “fit” interview, generic questions, a couple thinking/teaser questions and 1-2 basic business related questions. The representative gave a small overview of what the internship would consist of. Lastly asked, "Do you have any questions for me?".

After the first interview the second email was received with a congratulatory offer and directions to move along the process. The next step was a drug test, background check, and registration with FINRA.

Finally, after the drug test, background check, registration was completed the final group interview/orientation meeting was conducted with other interns (~15). The intern supervisor introduced himself, provided the internship start date, provided handout on accessing email and database, employee handbook, key chains, duffle bag, and key card etc.
