Actuarial Intern

The company gave a presentation on campus where I managed to speak with the company representatives after the presentation and give them my resume. About three weeks later they called me asking for details on my experiences, transcript, as well as a form with various questions detailing why I wanted to be an actuary etc. Two weeks after that I was contacted to come in for a super day at the end of the upcoming month. The super day consisted of four other applicants, and they let us know that they planned to have at minimum another 5 super days. There was an initial period where we all had the opportunity to have breakfast with everyone in the Actuarial Development Program and they asked the applicants various questions on background etc (this was to determine if there was any of us that they didn't like). Then we were each sent to a room where we had three consecutive forty minute interviews. The first interview was by two employees that had been there 1-2 years. The second was with a vice president. The third was with a very senior vice president. All the interviews were technical. The interviewers try making the interviews relatively informal and laid back. A few days after the interview I was contacted and given the offer. The drug test and background test were given within 30 days of my start date (first Monday of June).
