Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
I applied through campus career fair. Talked with two people from the firm and got invited to interview in the office.
Interview Questions
I had two one-on-one interviews. The first one is purely brain teaser questions after a quick tell me about yourself. It started from basic calculations to probability questions. I had approximately 4 brain teaser questions. The first 3 are not hard to solve, probably similar to questions in mid level probability and statistics classes. But need to practice calculating them loud during the interview. The last question is a little bit hard and is more similar to brain teaser questions in the BWIS finance guide.
The second interview mainly tests my conceptual understanding of the distressed investing process. The interviewer introduced me to some concept and then kind of asked me about my thought process about the investment process.

If you have a cube that is ten by ten by ten and you remove a side of each face then what is the remaining cube and how many individual blocks are left? remember that you are taking a side from each so you aren't removing a one by one by one but a two by two by two this results with an eight by eight by eight and you can easily calculate what to be a total of 512. this can also be asked by seeing if you paint the outside of the box how many blocks are painted our unpainted. ten^3 means 1000 so subract 215 from that

Interview
I was referred to the Chief Investment Officer through a mutual friend. There was an initial phone screening with the Chief Investment Officer that went over my background and experience and a brief summary of the firm and its history. The next round was an in-person interview at their office. I met with the CIO, a VP, and an associate. The process overall was fairly straight forward and laid back. The questions were almost all behavioral.

If you could have one financial statement, which one would you choose? Why? What if you could have two? Why?
