Admin reached out to schedule. They expected your urgent availability and didn't give heads up that they were expecting to do multiple rounds that day, even though I asked. That's a bit to be expected from a bigger shop, but alas....Interview itself was pretty standard - anticipate 1-on-1 and 2-on-1 interviews with all of the seniors. Directors and VP will ask more about your LBO modeling and accounting skills so be prepared for that. Otherwise behaviorals are standard, just know your resume in and out.
Interview Questions
They expected a much deeper walk though of an LBO than I thought they would.

Interview
I was referred by the my friend who knows the VP in the firm. I met the VP and 2 MDs in the process. Mostly discussing deal experiences, less technical questions asked. Took a bit while for the company to get internal approval
Interview Questions
Nothing very difficult to be frank, as it is mainly going through the deal experiences. I would actually consider Q&A session being important. At Associate level and / or above, they will expect you to know the investment banking industry, how it works, and what kind of deals are in the market, what may be workable strategy (this can lead to interesting discussion surrounding what the employers are doing and why they are doing that) => shows you are in the business. And of course, as a very basic, you kneed to know the deals you've worked on inside out

Interview
applied online first, received an email few days later from a recruiter to set up an inital phone interview
Interview Questions
initially thought it would be just standard investment banking technical and behavioral questions, however, after a few standard questions, the associate asked me about a case study question. The case study scenario was about Starbucks trying to enter the coffee market in Italy. He asked what are some of the methods for market entry and what are some factors to consider. The question wasn't very difficult, just trying to test your logical thinking skills and a basic understanding of the different market strategies.

Interview
I came from a non-target which had zero alum so I got a referral from the company I was doing a corp dev summer internship for at the time and was able to score an interview after a brief phone screen. BDA Partners seems to be very very fit based and while technical skills are valued, the VP's and MD's really want to see fi you're a fun/not boring person. Analysts and associates seemed to ask most of the technicals (M&A finance and accounting) but in general seemed to want you to do well. Be very well prepared to know the answer to the question "why M&A?". Also know your resume inside out.
Interview Questions
As said before, this was a very culture focused interview and they mostly wanted to see whether you'd fit in since it is a boutique after all. One of the most unexpected questions came from my resume which had science experience. The associate interviewing me had experience in healthcare PE and immediately asked me to speak to that experience.

Interview
Internal referral through existing staff. Fairly straightforward process and no nonsense. Two calls with MD to get to know each other then flew down to Hong Kong to meet senior staff, discuss details. Hired immediately after the interview.
Interview Questions
China Market Risk Premium calculation --how would you do it? Needed to describe which inputs to use and how to position this. Very technical.
Describe PE contacts and network within Asia. Basically wanted people with strong existing network to start plugging holes in coverage and start getting out to win pitches.
