Please describe the interview / hiring process.
- Resume Screen: Resume screen by talent development manager
- Teams/Phone Interview: Behavior/Personality Interview with talent development manager. Questions asked from a piece of paper which quizzes you on the business of BGC partners and how stock brokers work in general.
Example questions: What does a stockbroking business do? What does BGC stand for?
- Technical Interview: Technical Interview with Team Lead and Software Engineer. Q&A on Software Engineering and OOP principles e.g. SOLID principles of software engineering, encapsulation, etc. Need knowledge of any Object Oriented Language. Finished on coding up a given scenario in 15 minutes.
Example question: Given certain objects and their relationships, how would you represent these in a language of your choice? What is the principle of extensibility?
