Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I started by applying online. Nothing too weird here, I just made sure to emphasize everything that is to do with Bloomberg's unique culture in my cover letter. Also, the more you know about what the bootcamp involves and what type of role you are applying to the more chances you have of getting to the next stage. Despite having applied after the deadline, it worked. They scheduled a phone interview which was postponed because they forgot I was meant to be interviewed... The phone interview was pretty fast, around 10min, which made me think I absolutely screwed up. That was not the case. Was expecting a lot of commercial awareness but it was mainly about my motivation for applying to the programme. Got to the second round interview with one of the sales guys at their offices in London. That was my first interview and I was quite scared so I was surprised by how smoothly it went. All classic CV based questions. However, the one thing which is more challenging is to prove that you really want to work for Bloomberg. It felt as if he wanted me to say that I absolutely loved the company before having even worked there. So make sure that you know the reasons why you are applying to Bloomberg and not one of them big bulge bracket banks.
