Here’s how it works.

Blue Room Investment operates like a classic private investment company. We hand select stocks in businesses that are poised to generate significant profits, while also hedging against potential downside interruptions in the financial markets. We do not merely follow a company’s two-dimensional axis of X and Y, profit over time. We look into each business’s possibility, why it flourishes, how it withstands turmoil, and what factors allow it to thrive. Investors can allocate their dollars across three separate private investment funds. Blue Room’s Capital Appreciation Fund takes equity holdings in publicly traded companies that are poised to show significant growth in the near to medium-term future. Blue Room’s Life Sciences Fund focuses on companies that use emerging forms of biotechnology such as gene editing and are expected to produce tremendous returns over a longer time horizon. Blue Room’s Precious Metals Fund allows investors to hold their reserves in gold and silver, as opposed to cash, and lets us hedge against downturns in the market.

Recognizing that our investors seek human betterment as well as financial returns, we offer additional ways to put dollars to work generating social good through Blue Room Impact. Blue Room Impact allows investors to participate in a communal form of angel investment through two separate funds. Blue Room’s Angel Fund backs fledgling companies with potential to drive meaningful change in the world. For example, we have established a partnership to fund a regenerative agriculture project, reviving dryland farming in a way that uses less water, amends the soil, and grows better-tasting, more nutritious food. As this business grows, so do our shared revenues, and we generate incalculable human returns at the same time. Because Blue Room team members are deeply inspired by art, we also offer investors the unique opportunity to back up-and-coming artists through Blue Room’s Art Fund. We scout for artists who have demonstrated critical success, steep growth in demand for their work, and are on the verge of bigger success, but need capital to enlarge their capacity to produce the pieces that galleries have requested. As their art practices grow, we share in their burgeoning art world revenues.

At Blue Room, we seek to put exciting and unusual opportunities before our investors, in the form of both classic wealth creation and novel impact investing. You get to choose how to allocate your dollars across those channels and determine the makeup of your portfolio. Finally, Blue Room incorporates philanthropy directly into our business model, at no additional cost to investors. We take the standard fee, but we give away ten percent of that income to local nonprofits. We are inspired by the idea of “togetherism,” our term for making capitalism work in a more ethical fashion. Based on the idea of tithing, ten percent of our revenues before expenses are put into a dedicated account for philanthropic grants. We focus on nonprofits that seek social justice and nonprofits that enable us to build a better relationship with our planet and the other species with whom we share our natural resources. As your wealth grows, so does our capacity for philanthropy. The more zeroes we make, the more zeroes we can share.
