Interview
The interview process was pretty basic. I received an invite to the video interview about a week after I applied. After completing the video interview, I got an email telling me I was selected to progress forwards in the interview where I had a video call with the relationship manager. Overall process was smooth and the relationship manager was nice and we had a great time chatting about the industries that the bank currently covers.
Interview Questions
Be on the lookout for tricky personality questions--be prepared to tie in your work/academic/EC experiences to why you are interviewing for their commercial banking division, and not for their other divisions like investment banking.

I was refereed to the company by my schools Treasurer. This firm and my school have a close relationship where students receive internship offers year after year. I was chosen for a 2v1 interview. Mostly behavioral and fit questions. Towards the end there were a few questions just to make sure I understand a little bit about fixed income. I received notification of the offer the following week.

What company in the materials sector would you invest in? (This question was asked because I was the former associate manager of the materials sector in my student managed investment fund class)

Applied through my university recruiting and met with a managing director. Did not really ask any technical questions as they were mostly fit and behavioral questions. Spent a lot of time talking about what they do and the core values that BMO Harris possesses. Laid back interview but it seemed like they already had their candidates selected.

What makes BMO Harris Bank different from some of the other financial institutions? (This question was to see if the individual understood that BMO Harris is conservative in terms business practices and risk)
