Interview
The internship was located in Germany. A 3-hour technical and behavioral interview was conducted over phone. There was only one round.
Interview Questions
The interview questions covered anything from classic banking questions to accounting questions. The accounting questions were by far the hardest since they were based on a 30-minute case. They were very in-detail. For the banking questions, the hardest ones related to important valuation and pricing metrics used in M&A. I was specifically asked about the application of those multiples and a case study was presented. Furthermore, I had to do a paper LBO, which was in my opinion that hardest question.
