Interview
Typical ER interview. Was asked 2-3 accounting and valuation questions, walk me through three statements if you bought equipment etc.. then some questions on economics and relative interest rates and exchange rates. Also gave some info on a companies costs/expenses and revenues and asked what companies EBITDA and GP is. Interview was all technical. Moving forward to second round with and HR member and an analyst.
Interview Questions
I would say the most difficult part about the interview was all the technical questions. It was all technical for about an hour with an analyst on the team. You must study BIWS or WSO IB and ER wuestions. Heavily based on accounting probably spent about half hour on the accounting and valuation questions. The last 20 minutes were spent on the economics question for the relative interest rates and some questions I had for the analyst. Wasnt expecting any economics as it is more broad so I was a little unprepared for that, but if you have a firm grasp on that modelling and the generic banking questions should do great.

Interview
The interview process was through my school's coop program. It was a video interview, great interviewer and great company. The questions had many accounting related ones and a brainteaser.
Interview Questions
They asked me about impairment losses regarding a South American copper mine and how they affect the three different financial statements. This was pretty simple if you're in tune with your accounting skills and know your stuff. They also asked a question about the South American mining industry and how it would be affected by certain things in the microeconomic and macroeconomic environment. This was an unusual industry so be prepared for random industries. General knowledge about macroeconomic factors that affect all industries would be good to know.

Interview Questions
If the us government 10 year bond yield rate goes up what will that change the commodity market for lumber in Canada. The questions are mainly focused on commodity market instead of equity. However, the main business of the company is equity research. The questions are extremely difficult. Then they altered condition of that question to be what if the US inter bank offer rate goes up, how does that will affect the commodity market. How dose that effect the lumber company in Canada, form its financial perspective.
