Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Hiring process was standard and similar to other firms. Applied online through selectleaders. The process between applying and receiving a call for the first round was 2-3 weeks. Had a phone conversation with the CFO, portfolio manager, and several other staff members. At the end of the interviews, an excel test was given.
Interview Questions
Nothing in the interview was particularly difficult. There were no brain teasers or out-of-the box type of questions. The firm's hiring process seems standard across all industries. Nevertheless, you do have to talk with a lot of the higher-ups when going through the process. I had to talk with the CFO, portfolio manager, and couple other staff members that were a part of the acquisitions team. The questions asked were mainly behavioral in nature (probably because the firm was relatively small to start). At the end of the interview, you are given a small, excel case study that needs to be completed. The whole process took about 2 months.
