Presentation
Interview
This is for a full-time analyst role from business school recruiting process. Causeway has a very low-key and approachable style, and the interview is primarily focused on your ability to assess various dimensions of a stock recommendation, including downside risk, catalysts, and industry composition. Everyone at the firm up to the CEO was extremely friendly, however, the process is very competitive. Some interviews will be more "pressure" style, while most (80%) will be very conversational and organic.
Interview Questions
Be prepared for a 1 hour case. They will give you a K and perhaps a couple news articles on a stock (likely international) and ask you to present your conclusions to a panel. Some of the questions will be straightforward (what was EBITDA in 2011?), while others will require more industry analysis.
They will press you on where else you are interviewing / have offers. I'm not sure how this information is used internally, but my guess is that a candidate with lots of long-only value shops would be viewed favorably, while the hedge fund chasers will face a handicap.
