Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Got interview through OCR. I met with a second year analyst. Asked me to tell me about myself. After passing first round visit to office.

A more senior staff began tests on economics topics. Asked for definition of deadweight loss. Gave diagrams, asked me to point out consumer surplus, producer surplus, deadweight loss. Asked me to review case study on what kind of impact a beverage company's release of a new product would have on sales (if there would be cannibalization, etc.). Another staff member came in and asked about marginal tax rates.

There may have been another step after that, but I didn't get to it.

You get the impression they want someone who can think fast and has a good background in basic economics concepts. Unfortunately, at the time I was particularly deficient in thinking fast.
