Entry Level Equity Trader

Applied online through handshake. First went through a 15 minute screening call with HR person asked very basic questions: Are you currently working, when did you graduate, why do you want to be a trader. Then they shared some info about the company and position. It's an extremely low base comp role. After screening call was invited for virtual teams interview with two traders at the firm. This interview lasted 30 minutes, and was entirely behavioral. Tell me about yourself, strengths, weaknesses, biggest risk you have ever taken, what type of trader do you think you would be. Following this, was invited for final round to interview in person at the NYC office (union square) with the head trader. It ended up being with the head trader and one of the other traders. Mainly behavioral with some basic technical questions just about understanding equity markets. Asked if I had any prior experience trading, if I was okay with the low comp in the role, as well as what skills do I have that would make me a good trader. This interview lasted about 40 minutes and was then given a tour of the office, which is basically a large trading floor and a small lounge/kitchen. The environment is extremely relaxed with everyone in casual clothes. The interview invite in person will say that the office is relaxed so casual clothing is fine, but obviously wear a suit regardless. Everyone I spoke to and interviewed with was definitely nice but did not get a very hard working cutthroat vibe from the place.
