Intern

Got the interview by networking with one of their senior people. First round was a telephone interview with the person I networked with, and then I was invited for final round. At their headquarter I was interviewed by six people, three from the investment research department, two from structuring, and one from trading. Questions included walk me through your resume, views about the markets, investment pitches, and nothing was too hard. But the problem is they didn't really say which department the intern will be working at so they asked which department I wanted to work with, and I said trading...which doesn't seem to be a satisfactory answer to them. It seemed they are most likely recruiting interns for their investment research department and I guess I would have a better chance getting in if I say I wanted to work in research.
