Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The first round is an online assessment. The assessment was pretty standard - a few fairly basic programming questions that tested your knowledge of data structures and the like. I thought it was fairly easy and ended up being invited for a phone screen. The phone screen was also fairly standard for a quant position. A few brain teaser type questions. Very little background/fit type questions. I did well and was invited to go in and interview. I ended up accepting another offer and declining the in-person interview, but a few things about the process really bothered me. Since I had another offer in hand, they were very pushy about both who the other offer was from and what the compensation was. And after I told them, they would only tell me that their compensation was "in the range". Secondly, while they did pay for my flight out, on the day before the interview, when I tried checking in, the ticket had been cancelled. They booked everything, so it was definitely on their end. I couldn't get on the phone with them before the flight was supposed to take off and luckily I didn't go to the airport without checking in first, but both of these things left a bad taste in my mouth and with another good offer in hand, I just decided to decline the interview.
