Software Engineer

I got in contact with Citadel through a third party headhunter. First round consisted of a recruiter screen - standard questions, asking about why Citadel, why finance, and giving more details about the role.

I had three rounds of phone interviews and was rejected after the third. I believe it's standard practice for there to be two phone interviews unless you received different feedback. The first two were language-agnostic coding questions - not standard LeetCode, but moreso implementation-heavy, though practicing leetcode still helps. The last interview still featured a simpler coding question but we talked more about systems design / scaling considerations, as well as how to evaluate it in production.
