The Interview process was great. Very friendly, non-threatening and did not make me feel uncomfortable. They asked good, relevant questions in order to determine if I would be a suitable candidate.
Interview Questions
How do City and Schools pay for necessary projects? This question basically just wanted to test my basis and conceptual understanding of municipal bonds, which at the time was obviously somewhat limited. My response was primarily property taxes, but I am sure there are additional forms of tax revenues that are pledged.
What relevant classes did you take, and what relevant skills/knowledge did you learn? - Just wanted to ensure that my degree was applicable and that I was skilled with financial analysis, modeling, Excel, and understanding core financial concepts (NPV, formulas, amortization schedules, etc.)
Why are you a good fit for this position? - just responded honestly and said that I have a very strong work ethic, a solid understanding of financial concepts, had the ability to rapidly develop the functionality of new software, and was a good team player who was willing to work hard for the benefit of the organization.

The interview process started with obtaining the email adresses of the senior managent in the investment banking division of the company, followed by a short phone interview to set u pthe in-person interview that would later follow. The process ended with a one-on-one with a senior investment banker, who was very experienced, and asked fair questions that most banks use.
Interview Questions
Walk me through a DCF. How does a change in depreciation affect EBIT when putting together a DCF? These were very standard questions that you should be prepared to answer. The interviewer is very understanding, and does not make you feel bad if you answer them incorrectly; however, you should be prepared to hit the ground running with you technicals.
