First interview was over the phone. Just basic questions about your resume and experience. Next is an in-person panel interview with most of the research team. After that, then they bring you in for a skills test. This will test is all based on energy and will test your ability or organize basic energy data in excel, find multiple entries and edit them in excel, build 3 sided bar charts in excel, and to write an opinion on the data. You have 2 hours to complete it. You will need it. Know your IF formulas (SUMIF, COUNTIF, etc.)
Interview Questions
Why would 2 companies with the same boe/d have drastically different valuations? The answer is due to the composition of the boe. Ie: how much of that boe is of Oil vs. NGL vs. LNG. A boe number that is mostly made up of oil & NGL's would sell at a premium whereas a boe number that is mostly LNG would be valued at a discount relative to those competitors that have more Oil & NGL's.
