Heard about the firm through school's career center. Emailed the MD my resume and was invited to meet team.
Interview Questions
WAfter emailing MD, I received phone interview with the entire team. Questions were all behavioral and were asked see if there would be a good fit within the team. The shop is very small so there is huge emphasis on fit and culture. Questions included tell me about yourself, why here, plans for the future etc. After first phone call, I was invited to meet the team in-person. This meeting involved more questions about myself and my availability for the internship. Overall, very positive experience.

Group Interview
Interview
I emailed one of the managing director at the firm with a resume and cover letter. I then was invited into the office to meet the team.
Interview Questions
A lot of the interview was behavioral. As expected, I walked them through my background, my resume, and why I was interested in investment banking. Most of this part was very conversational.

After speaking with two of the partners at the firm, they invited me to another room with the other two partners of the firm. This was the technical portion of the interview. Some of the questions I remembered were as followed;

What are the three main financial statements?

What are the three main valuation methodologies?

Why do we add back depreciation in the cash flow statement?

I walked them through my background by keeping it conversational. I told them where I was from, how I initially got interested in business, and why I chose to major at my school.

Phone Interview
1 on 1 Interview
Interview
Consisted of a short phone interview with one of the managing directors. Next was an in-person interview at the firm where I met with the MD I spoke with on the phone, another MD, the associates, and director. Work culture is very relaxed as long as you get your work done. Easy to go above and beyond your requirements to impress the senior people. For interview prep, focus almost exclusively on behavioral with some basic technicals.

ANSWER: Current ratio
Tell me about yourself.
Why investment banking?
