Director was originally a client that we audited, during an internship) She had brought up that she had some roles if I was interested. I was not at the time but emailed her a few months later. Came in for an in-person interview about a week after reaching out. Met with her 1-on-1 and discussed goals, previous experience. Then met with entire team (4) for a group Q&A.

Some background information about the role:

Financial analyst at the healthcare branch of a university (Think Ivy league Institutions)
2+ years in a similar type of finance/accounting role
Very accounting/budgeting/process based

The toughest question wasn't really anything unexpected. It was the classic demonstrate your interest. However, the reason it was tough for me was because I did not meet the minimum experience requirements and also had barely any full time professional experience and had just finished my undergrad program.
