Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The initial contact was made through the university career services center. First phone interview was with an alumni who had started as an analyst six months prior. Second phone interview was with an associate about one week after the initial phone interview. Both phone interviews were quite casual, mostly looking for fit and interest in investment banking. I was asked to fly up for an in-person interview about a week after the second phone interview. Two others from my university were also invited for one SA position. We interviewed individually with two directors within the group, one associate, and one analyst. The interviews with the directors were mostly fit and had one or two questions about how information flows through the financial statements. The interview with the associate was focused around a case study while the interview with the analyst focused on general financial knowledge and brain teasers. The interviews were followed by a group lunch. Everyone within the group was easy to get along with and the interviews flowed naturally. I used the WSO behavioral and technical guides for preparation and felt all of the finance related questions were covered within the guides.
