Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was applying for an internal role in a different country, although this still requires a full formal interview process. There were a number of phone interviews (different countries made in person interviews impractical). There were also background checks with the senior management I worked with in my current role. The process was drawn out and involved talking to many different people - it was frequently difficult to work out how everyone fitted in together. As I was an existing employee of the company, psychometric and personality tests were not required. However, background checks with government agencies (criminal records, etc) were required (despite being an existing employee).
