Interview
There were 2 parts to the first interview--the behavioral interview and the case interview. The behavioral interview was pretty standard, asking about why you attended your college, your weaknesses, your leadership skills, and your values. The case interview was health care related to the company itself.
Interview Questions
The questions were not out of the ordinary. There were 2 parts and each part of the interview was 30 minutes. You would switch interviewers after 30 minutes. The first part of the interview was behavioral and they asked pretty standard questions. Questions include why the company, what are your strengths and weaknesses, what are your values and how do they align with the company, and why you chose your particular college. The case interview was pretty short. It was healthcare-related and there were two mini-cases.

Interview
The first round was a phone interview with a 30-minute case study and a 10-minute personality interview. The next round was in the Denver HQ and consisted of another case study.
Interview Questions
The case studies were both relatively easy. I only practiced one case study and was fine for both rounds. The first case study had to do with looking at two business models and understand which one could be more profitable. The following interview had to change a policy that would reduce hospitalizations. You needed to understand both the financial and ethical implications.

It seemed the company cared a lot more about fit than about your performance on the case interview. Overall the interview process was great.

Which core value of DaVita do you feel you most align with?
What three words would your closest friends use to describe you?
Why did you choose to go to xxx school?

Case
First case: market based question, focused on breaking into a new market either through acquisition, joint venture, or creating a new business.
Second case: profitability question for a pilot program.
Each of the cases were healthcare-focused, and some basic knowledge of health systems was required to know what details to ask for.

Interview
Sent in an application through school. Contacted for an interview a few days later. Got a call from current employee asking if I had quesitons
Interview Questions
The case they asked was what I thought about american healthcare. It was very open ended and I really didn't know where to approach it from. I kept asking prodding questions or seeing if he would help guide me but he really just didn't. I struggled with all this and couldn't really get through the first round as a result of this. It seemed kind of annoying to me that I couldn't get any information from him and that the question was so open ended. I expected it to be more of a particular case that I could contend with.
