There were multiple rounds of interviews. First, a phone interview. Then, a group interview with about a dozen other applicants. Then they asked you to write a research paper. Then there were a couple of additional 1x1 interviews with all the members of the team. Lastly, I went to lunch with the group.
Interview Questions
How many babies do you think are born in America each year? How did you come to that estimate? They were trying to figure out how well you can make quick estimates of high-level things.
Why do you want to work in this business? This wasn't unexpected, but it is important. They really want to know that you are serious about being a research analyst.
