Interview Details
After a while, the head of a desk dropped me a call, sent me some information and asked for an interview.
Interviewed with two teams there, overall for around 3 to 3.5 hrs. One team covered more fit-style questions like motivation to work here, what I would expect to do on a day-to-day basis and afterwards both teams moved into technicals.
Technicals:
Futures, Options, BlackScholes and Binomial Tree and what moves them. What happens if e.g. stdev goes up.
How would you build x payout scheme.
Pitch me this structured product (autocallable, discount certificate, reverse convertible)
Explain the structure of those products and how would you alternatively build them.
Found it fairly hard, asked in detail and asked until I didnt know any further.
Overall decent experience and got the offer. To succeed, you absolutely need to know your way around more advanced derivatives and understand, how to plug these together to create certain payouts. Fit should be fairly straightforward, normal preparation is fine.
Communication happened mostly via phone.
