DB Achieve Sophomore Internship

I networked with an employee to receive an interview offer. Roughly one month after submitting an application online I received an invite for their superday for the DB Achieve program. There was no phone screen. The superday consisted of a 2 on 1 interview in the morning as a first round. The interview was all behavioral, and very standard. Questions consisted of What do you think investment banking is? What do people do at different levels, ranging from analyst to MD? How are the Markets? How does the current market condition affect us as investment bankers?

Overall, the first interview was extremely short. They only asked me questions for roughly 15 minutes, and the remainder of the time was for me to ask them questions. They were running behind schedule, so that might be the reason that the interview was so short.

I waited roughly two hours to hear back from them, and they had me come back for two 30 minute, back to back interviews. The first interview was with an MD, and was extremely informal. He asked me questions for about 15 minutes, mostly just to get to know me. After that, he turned the time over to me to ask him questions.

The final interview was with a director, and was only behavioral. He asked standard questions about working under pressure, and how much quantitative ability I could bring to the table as a liberal arts major. This was by far the most formal interview of the program.

Even though there wasn't any technical questions, they were very concerned about quantitative ability of candidates, and financial preparation.
