1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Had my first round on campus. The MD who interviewed me flew down from NYC and looked really exhausted. He was very quiet and seemed uninterested. I thought there was no way I will land a superday. So I relaxed after the first few minutes (as I already had other offers at the time). It was very general at first so a few why questions. Got two technical questions and they were a breeze (1 on depreciation another prob on DCF). I was informed later the interviewer actually liked me very very much... or maybe that's just PR talk. Had my superday a few days later with an alumn. No technical questions at all. Just chatting about the industry and so. Got the offer the same night. DB people in general seemed really nice and I can't say a bad word about them. I want to say though that (not to brag) sometimes resume still helps you a lot once you get into the interview room. If from GPA to work to extra-curricular you are all solid there is little point trying to grill you on deferred taxes and such. We all know we can learn this stuff.
