Interview Experience (50%)

The Interview Experience is a score from 1 star (very negative) to 5 stars (very positive) generated based on the Interview Insights at this company.

The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
3 interview rounds a 30 minutes:

1. Company introduction / cultural fit

2. Technical interview (only basic questions on statistics asked, since I have no finance background; people with finance background be aware - interview may get tough)

3. Interview with company partner (questions like why do you want to join our company?)
Interview Questions
The questions were easy: some basic questions on statistics (what is mean value, standard deviation, which properties of a probability distribution do you know...). Currently, new applicants are often asked basic finance questions (Derivation of Block-Scholes, Ito's Lemma etc., Basics on option pricing risk greeks) even if they have no finance background. The interview may also include simple questions on computer programming (what is a function? what is a class? variable types?). Bottomline: no really complex questions.
