Internship in Portfolio Management (MBA)

I applied to this position via MBA campus recruiting job posting. The first step was a 30 minute interview with a relatively junior Portfolio Manager. This was a fairly standard interview, walk through resume/tell me about a difficult coworker/time you failed at work/etc. In addition there were questions about CAPM, portfolio theory and Factor Models. Received a phone call the day after the phone interview to schedule a visit to the office in Austin for in person interviews.

The in person interview round consisted of a series of 4, 30 minute interviews and an informal lunch. As Dimensional is based on efficient markets and Fama-French factor models many of the questions centered around these concepts. Detailed questions on regression analysis, interpreting regressions, what factors mean and how to evaluate performance.

The culture seemed good, the location in Austin could be considered a positive or negative depending on your point of view. Facilities were very nice, people were smart and friendly.
