The structure of the Eastdil Secured internship interview process is very arbitrary. I had two zoom interviews with two of the hiring managers then moved onto a zoom interview with two analysts. The questions were very simple with a main focus on behaviorals. I would say that if you want this internship, you HAVE to network as much as possible to keep your name relevant in the recruitment process.

Interview
The interview process consists of three screening calls followed with a final super day. The first phone call is introductory and mainly behavioral with a few technicals. The next two interviews are more technical, focused on your past experiences. I got through the first 3 interviews but did not receive a superday.

Got connected to some people at the firm through a friend, spoke with them before they intro'd me to internal HR. Initial phone screen was straightforward. Met with the team over zoom for the following two weeks, largely behavioral-based and about my past experience. Office clearly valued fit and work ethic rather than the perfect prior experience. Know your market/product, have some opinions, convey interest in the firm.

I cannot speak so much about the later rounds, because I did not make it past them. I applied online on Handshake. It was just resume and cover letter drop. Then, you have a Hirevue to do in 3 days. There are no retakes and think time is super fast.

Submitted CV online. Then did a short SJT/ cognitive skills test. Same assessment as many others, so try and gain some familiarity with question bank if possible. Some personality questionaire looking at different traits and characteristics- fairly standard, just different options of describing yourself and ranking them. Short Hirevue as well with SparkHire.

Interview
After applying online, I was sent an email to complete a criteria cognitive aptitude test. You had 15 minutes to answer 50 questions. The questions were puzzles, math, and vocabulary. Then you had to complete a spark hire on demand video interview. It was a one way video with three questions. One question was tell me about an article you just read about commercial real estate. Another was tell me about a time you worked in a team. These were more behavioral questions.
Interview Questions
The most unexpected one was about an article specifically about commercial real estate. I have been asked this question several times in other interviews, but they have never made it so specific

Interview
First was a Hirevue with three questions each with a minute to prepare and then three minutes to answer. Next I received a phone call around 2-3 weeks later and talked to one of the senior analysts about my resume and then we set up a group interview that took place a week later with the same analyst, an associate and another analyst. After that, I had one more group interview and then I got a phone call where they gave me the internship offer. The questions that were asked throughout were mainly behavioral but I came prepared with some technical questions about the company and the industry in general.
Interview Questions
Nothing really through me off but they asked some questions about the more niche parts of my resume which was a pleasant surprise.
