Interview
Had first interview 1x1 and was very general, then i was asked to come for a full day to meet the portfolio managers, risk manager, and operation manager. The interviews were mainly about my education and and other relevant experiences. in addition, personality fit and behavioral and logical questions such as if there are 10 birds and you shot one how may are left (answer is 0 as the rest will get scared and fly away immediately). Then i was asked to do case analysis which was provided by them, using only calculator and notebook then we had a group meeting where they started to ask me about the case and my recommendation (BUY or SELL) and based on what was my recommendation (qualitative and quantitative / valuation wise). The questions were quick and at least two were asking me different questions at the same time (to see probably how to handle stress and investors meetings).
Interview Questions
The first question was logical question, What was noticed, in airports, on moving walkways and why?
The second question was with regard to valuation, what is the average multiple asset managers trade at which i didn't expect to be asked about it although i memorized the major industries multiples.
The Third question was why is it better to have mining business in third world countries? that was more of a trick question.
The fourth question what and why would happen to helium balloon in a speed car when it stops suddenly.
