Investment Banking Analyst

I was referred by an employee and the interview was set up for within 2 days. I had a relaxed call with a VP out of their Charlotte office. I was asked about my previous firms culture and team. I was asked to go into more depth on my deal experience and nuances I found in between sectors I worked on as a generalist. I was asked to walk the interviewer through a paper DCF and asked about valuation methods and each types pros and cons and what analyses would be best to use based on different types of companies. I asked questions about values, professional development opportunities, sector interests and current deals the interviewer was staffed on. The call went well and I was told the interviewer was very interested and wanted to accelerate me through the process. I was told the HR head would reach out to me by the end of the week to plan my technical interview, to meet with MD and meet the other analyst for fit testing. I followed up with a thank you email and never heard back from interviewer or recruiter.
